Tele2 deal

I asked NTC why they didn't make more of a big deal real the tele2 deal. Good response from the CFO. This is a well managed business IMO.

"Hi Stephen,

Thanks for taking the time to write to us and for your congratulations on the FY14 results.
In relation to the Carrier component of our strategy, we are focussed on obtaining relationships with 6 of the top 20 global carriers. We already have 3 in place and are well positioned for at least 3 more during FY15.
We have also outlined that we are interested in developing relationships with other national and regional players that are outside the top 20. Telstra is a good example.

We are happy with the Tele2 relationship and there was a press release in respect of the association. However, we were of the view that it was not “ASX Announceable” as it was not a top 20 carrier.
We do believe that Tele2 will be aggressive on the M2M front in their home market and this will be beneficial to NTC.
