Telespazio, Italy, orders Beam terminal units

Tele-IP announced today that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Beam Communications Pty Ltd,
has received an initial order from Telespazio of Italy. The value of the initial order is in excess
of $175,000. Telespazio S.pA is a Finmeccanica (67%) and Alcatel (33%) joint venture and is
a leading worldwide satellite service provider.


Telespazio plays a leading role in the reference markets applying its technological know-how
and long term experience to satellite management and navigation, broadband multimedia
telecommunications and earth observation services.

Telespazio designs, develops and manages telecommunication networks for various
applications such as telemedicine, distance learning and disaster recovery
telecommunications. Telespazio also develops and manages systems for the broadcasting,
distribution and transport of television signals via satellite.


Mr Michael Capocchi, General Manager of Beam Communications, said “The order from
Telespazio is very positive for Beam’s continuing expansion into the global satellite markets.
Beam has worked very closely with Telespazio over the last 12 months. Now that a number
of customer applications have reached commercialization, we are in the final stages of
negotiating on ongoing partner agreement with Telespazio.”
