Yes I agree that it is not a good marketing move, but necessary for forward progress.
It would be difficult to persuade any chip maker, ODM or OEM to adopt ADRC if the app was not ready to go and available to the public. The app must be deployed before products and is needed to enable contract sales.
This is a catch 22 situation with deployment vs marketing and promo impressions.
There is an impression that the app does nothing because the Devices provide their own description which created the user control interface. This is one killer feature of ADRC which enables it to control any device which supports ADRC. The app is can be universal for ADRC devices.
