As I have said before and I will say again (maybe only on the EQX thread), EQX (in my opinion) will not make a bid for AKI. AKI now has a market cap (ex cash in the bank and other liquid assets) greater than EQX. Remember CFE's escrowed stock is not included in the AKI shares on issue so they need to be added in to get the real AKI market cap. EQX is miles ahead of AKI in progressing their operations (other than the JORC which they will have to wait until mid year for).
Makes sense to put the two projects together but that won't happen anytime soon with AKI now having a bigger market cap ex cash etc. Does not make sense when EQX is potentially a much larger project compared to AKI.
AKI now at best is very expensive way to get complete control of the rail but who would spend 250 odd million to achieve that? Darryl Kerrigan? Dreamin'. Wouldn't even do it on Hot Auctions.
Happy to listen to the counter arguments but would love to hear why the smaller cap will dilute itself out existence to buy the smaller project.
