i agree with blue on a lot of points. the speculators who have made a killing tend to be greedy and short sighted. it's all me me me, every man for himself (american style).the social ramifications of a whole generation of younger australian's being priced out of the real estate market is a tragedy for this country.

we're heading down the path of the yanks where millions of aussie's will just be the "working poor" having to take on second and third jobs just to surrive. meanwhile the ones who picked up the homes for 10k in the 1970's, 50k the 1980's, 150k in the 1990's call you whingers for not working hard enough.

i think real estate is a massive bubble and lets see where we are in 12-18 months time as people start loosing their jobs and homes.
