Or they might launch their own satellites in competition. NBN is an 8 year rollout isn't it? NWT haven't launched a satellite either. I reckon chances of NWT getting a slice of the government pie is small now. They need to keep growing the business and show they can compete with NBN and then maybe the government will offer NWT a you-beaut multi-billion dollar buyout to stop competing, just like they've done with Telstra and Optus and any other midly vague competitior to make their NBN farce look achievable from a business case point of view.
Or more likely, Libs will take control back in a couple of years and water down the NBN rollout allowing real competition back into the Australian market.
