No doubt it has taken longer than expected, due mainly to the orbital slots taking 6 months longer to acquire than first believed. But there are many overwhelming signs the project will go ahead and be a big success:

    - David Ball was recently appointed to Newsat's executive management team. Ball is former Managing Director of Intelsat, one of the world's largest satellite companies. He left Intelsat to join Newsat as the company is about to undergo an exciting period of growth led by its first satellite launch.

    - Newsat, with the help of one of the world's largest financial advisory firms, Lazard, acquired 7 orbital slots which can accommodate between 18 and 27 satellites depending on satellite specifications.

    - Newsat has received tenders from the world's largest satellite manufacturers and is in final stages of technical evaluation. These multi-billion dollar companies have invested months of time on their submissions and clarifications and obviously are sold on the prospects of the plan or would not have wasted their time and money tendering.

    - NWT is rumoured to have had many meetings with export credit agencies and investment funds regarding the funding for Jabiru 1.

    - Whilst taking longer than anticipated, NWT say the project is going ahead and is on track for success in every ASX announcement they make. Despite what you believe, misleading the market is a serious offence and the announcement are not to be taken lightly despite previous delays.

    - The directors stand to make millions each through options exercisable at 2 cents, still 3x current price. Lots of motivation for them to succeed, likewise for Lazard who is helping to broker finance and paid on a success fee. They wouldn't have set the strike price so high if they didn't believe they had an excellent prospect of success.

    - The Cypriates who sold NWT the slots took a good portion of their payment in NWT shares rather than cash, indicating their belief the satellites will be launched.

There are many others, and all in the public domain anyone can find with a bit of legwork. The fact the launch is 2 years off doesn't mean the price wont spike significantly as soon as there are good indications the program is confirmed. The market is forward-looking, discounted by risk. As soon as it's a done deal and everyone is talking about it in here, most of the opportunities for big profits will be gone and news will be factored in to the share price.

    Peace.
