Looking back towards the years where Telstras profit was declining due to the fixed broadband network is futile. Telstra current has turned a corner and appears to clearly be back in growth territory. It comes back to what you are seeking as an investor. Telstra is one of most best run companies out there. However this also means they don't take massive risks and are very conservative - so don't expect silicon valley type returns. As a shareholder all I expect from this stock is to increase profits slowly year on yearly while slowly increasing the dividend.
