Instead the govt wants to pass a tax package which rewards these cretins that are destroying Australian jobs! Mortgages potentially at risk along with a range of other risks for their respective children including health and education costs. They are to scrap 8000 jobs they say in middle management. "In the future our workforce will be a smaller, knowledge-based one with a structure and way of working that is agile enough to deal with rapid change."
Telstra said it will achieve part of the cost saving by switching customers from 1,800 current consumer and small business plans to just 20 plans.
It also aims to eliminate the need for two thirds of customer service calls within the next two years.

To me that translates to customers will pay more and service will diminish and probably more jobs outsourced to overseas!

I wonder whether the govt Future Fund has sold off all of its stake in Telstra. The share price has tanked today again!

so because some Australian companies are laying off staff, Aussie companies that are actually paying tax should continue to do so at the current high rate? and this will help employment how?
