Hi Alan ,we elect govt’s to come with solutions. We give them massive resources to do that. They need to do more than just tinker with tax handouts when we are facing huge structural changes in employment in this country.

Perhaps the time is not right for corporate tax cuts to big business but rather focus on the engine of our economy that employ Australians directly, namely small business!

The tax package they want to pass is aimed at guaranteeing tax cuts into the future when they may in fact not even be in in govt.

I think they should confine tax cuts to small and mid sized business(for now) and also confine income tax cuts to those that are immediate and take the longer term structural cuts to the coming federal election whereby voters can choose between the govt and Opposition offerings. I am all for splitting the Tax Bills to achieve that. The cross benchers will decide the outcome.
