Bear in mind that if you don't buy back till next July then you will miss out on a franked dividend on the bought-back shares. I doubt it is worth the hassle, ecen after all your calcs. What ps me off, as I have said here at some length and in some detail, is that all Telstra needed to do was give a capital return and/or a special franked dividend. It's what they are for! No hassle, no fancy calcs, everyone benefits, everyone gets what is rightfully theirs.
