Well - I disagree with a lot of posts here. I think this plan to simplify the hell out of things is the best plan Telstra has had in a long long time.
I hope they stay away from highly entrepreneurial stuff and stick to where their advantage lies.
I think the guidance is a shock to the market however. But the cost reductions over time are huge too. If the div resets to (say) 17c ff - that is a fairly big yield.
