Telstra fails pricing tests
April 11, 2006
THE Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has reprimanded Telstra over the way it squeezes the margins of its competitors.
It found Telstra failed tests for pricing some services to wholesale customers.
The ACCC was given powers three years ago to require Telstra to report regularly on the prices it charges its retail division. Its report for the December 2005 quarter said Telstra failed tests for local call services and ADSL.
