    Agreed. Take supermarkets as an example. They employ someone to go through the isles and re order. New systems coming, stock is ordered as it’s sold. Information sent to warehouse sent to robots for picking sent to transport for delivery. The backbone of the system will be a high bandwidth connection. Telecommunications will be vital to automation. For electric cars I can see a scenario where all cars require a additional sim car to be able to talk to each other as well as send information to government so they can charge the road toll for km travelled.
