....and the 5B failure of monetisation wasn't a loss - I can't imagine any enterprise that would take it on would be doing it as a charitable act to Telstra! If anything I'd bet the cost would probably have been more than if they issued 5B in bonds and used the NBN money to pay it off. The proposed monetisation had "sweet deal for CEO's/board's banking mates" written all over it!
