Definitely can agree with your thoughts!
Run accommodation on Great Ocean Road. Telstra coverage is excellent, but have guests from all around the world. Buy their cheap phones/plans in Melb and go to do Great Ocean walk, as the phone retailer recommends/ suggests, vidaphone, etc.
Remember a vodaphone exec being on the phone back to company very unhappy with coverage and black spots. We know we might pay a little extra when we buy our Telstra plans, but Telstra coverage excellent and no dropouts/hot spots.
Guests with their 'great' plans from Melb- start complaining about our area/accommodation, but when dealing with coverage in city versus country- there is an enormous difference in quality!
