WangChung, agree with yr post but if u have been in the share market long enough we as shareholders understand we have no control over announcements, once a positive or negative announcement is made and a shareholder is more informed to make a buy/sell decision its generally to late to buy/sell depending on announcement.
When such a radical decision of cutting div by 30% thats 30% is made there is not much time to make an informed decision.Taking into account this management is the same management that increased div from .28 to .31 cents not to mention last pathetic increase of .005 cents to .155 cents ,who could explain such a decision ie the logic behind penns decision to increase div by .005 cents recently????????????????.
I should have seen the stupidity when penn increased div by .005% to .155 from .15 cents. Then he must have watched that google comedy movie and thought like rudd's nbn fantasy what a great idea,i want to b a mini me google and play with the big boys.
ps i have always argued that .28 was enough, but as long as the ceo could provide profit growth, not bs revenue/ebitda growth.
