It’s taken him 3 years to get rid of 8000 people because it’s an over unionized company due to legacy.
What do people want? Keep an over bloated workforce and let the company die slowly?
Redundancies are never nice, been through it, but you move on. Telstra needs a radical change or it won’t exist in 6-7 years. If people think the answer is to keep those 8000 then the urgency of the situation clearly hasn’t sank in yet.
Telstra had 77,000 employee when it was privatized, it was already 25000 too many.
