I believe it is only head in the sand Luddites that object to TLS being fully privatised. Most advanced economies have had a privately held telephone system for years, and it the case of the USA and Canada for decades. Public ownership of services is only a requirement in early stages of industrialisation in order to ge economies up and running; that is not where Australia is right now, and hasn't been for a few decades.
The greens are the ulimate Luddites in our society right now and it would have to be a worry for forward thinking people to see their vote increase. We can only be thankful they will have no power in parliament this time around.
