Bob Mansfield could not have chosen a better time to quit. Ziggy will follow as will others. This was expected a year ago at least but shelved when talks with a potential long time suitor began in the hope the government would pass through legislation to privatise the rest of the company.

Packer has been waiting n the wings. The fatal flaw has been the attempt at Fairfax. I won't go into the details of that one yet.

Now that the rocket has been shoved up their proverbials, you will find that other matters which have already been leaked but not picked up by the popular press will re surface. This will include "What happened to over $4 billion dollars".

The Richard Li affair will emerge and the stench will reverberate through the houses of parliament even back to the previous government and the now defunct Arthur Anderson.

Theres more fun to Telstra than phone and phoney bills. trust me.
