i don't think so. if some people sell their telstra shares because of that article, then i think they make a poor decision. that is because even if telstra cannot sell its 3g to wholesale customers as planned, telstra doesn't lose anything - it just doesn't get more money.
i think the decline in the share price is caused by investors selling their telstra shares to buy more speculative (such as mining) shares. i have noticed that when my ago and mgx shares go up, telstra goes down.
but whether telstra share price really has an inverse relation with material sector, i don't know. that needs a more serious observation.
