Hi samidatz01, I am not too sure i believe much of this. You know that when things start leaking it is for a reason. Alan Kohler has mostly supported the Government in this matter and I dont agree with statements like the wholesale pricing will be much cheaper than is speculated , and that the NBN will cost much less then the forecast $43 billion. If any of this is true, then why isnt the report released and all of the economics? Alan Kohler doesnt address the major issues. The NBN will take ages to be completed , and will certainly have large cost over-runs,consequently the economics wont stand up and there will be no private buyers when the govt wants to sell the NBN. Most of all,technology is marching on and the NBN will be locked in, whereas TLS will have the option of taking up new technologies on a commercial basis. I dont believe that the NBN can go it alone.
