Ebola and future viruses,
Drugs in our community,
Terrorism, and so on.
After all what difference does the study of global warming or cooling makes if we are going to be hit by a giant comet, like the comet that just missed Mars a few days back?
No amount of carbon tax can redirect the path of a comet.
