An interesting move by Equinox but I suspect McMoran will buy out Equinox before they let them take out Lundin. TFM already ran the ruler over equinox some time back.
McMoron dont need more copper or african exposure as TFM has got about 100yrs of reserves, and they are sitting on another significant greenfields deposit (not far from TGS tenemants) that has not been defined yet. They want EQN to be the biggest on the block and to have greater marketing control of copper in the region.
Also quite handy to have an operation just across the border :)
