otakou, I wouldn't be worried that so many stock holders think their shares will become ten baggers. Undoubtedly several of them will become just that. Others will fall by the wayside. I don't think we are labouring under any illusions here.
For some who have taken huge hits it's a bit like drifting on a life raft taking bets on whether we will be rescued. Some will give up and slip over the side. Those who made sure the life raft would stand the rough seas will hang on and indeed be rescued.
If we have done our homework correctly and the company we are holding shares in does have the goods and the management and can dig the gold out of the ground and make profit at say $US750 an ounce, then it is worthwhile holding through all this. I for one don't intend to let go now and slip off the side. I think I can hear the sound of a plane in the distance...
