re: denny - ten major u.s. disasters on sig There is this "other thing," though Den, which is what St John began his gospel with and it is, "In the beginning was the logos and the the logos was with God." Now, "logos" has been translated as "word" by many translators but others will insist that "logos" means "logic" or "reason" or even "cause." In other words, Johnny said that Teddy had a reason to create the universe, or Teddy created the Universe using his logic.
None of this means anything but academic cum-theological sophism to me, simply because I've long shed the Micky Teddy out of my logos but I'm entering the discussion here because, as you so rightly put it, "logic doesn't need a teddy." To believe in the Teddy however, one needs a great lot of irefutable logos.
