Top exports from China mining and ore processing; iron and steel; aluminium; coal; machinery; armaments; textiles and apparel; petroleum; cement; chemical; fertilizers; food processing; automobiles and other transportation equipment including rail cars and locomotives, ships, and aircraft; consumer products including footwear, toys, and electronics; telecommunications and information technology... better not buy any of those either.

The tender specifications will determine the parameters around which the operations will occur, not the information relating to Chinese domestic practices which have historically been sub-standard but increasingly are moving to higher standards. The dirty rare earths industry in China is an example.
