No idea. I just find what I find and post it here for some to enjoy and others to ridicule.
I could speculate that they needed to use GPT 2 as it had accepted published energy consumption Benchmarks and Brainchip’s major neuromorphic competitors Intel and IBM had released results for their platforms allowing these comparisons to be made.
From information given out by the company it seems reasonable to speculate that they started this Benchmarking process last year after the TENNS release when possibly only GPT 2 numbers were available in sufficient detail.
But as I said no real idea.
