40 days to go until J.R. starts 19th March. But 40 days is a long time on and in, the share market.
What if Cazaly does not succeed in getting the witnesses on the stand? And talking about that, how much legal notice would the witnesses need to be given if the subpoenas need to be re-served?
I presume too much too often, that's true. It’s the reason I usually put my presumptions in the form of a question.
Like, for example, as the proposed star witnesses have been subpoenaed already, but Justice Buss has (I presume) decided they not be placed on the stand, have the subpoenas lapsed?
And if CAZ successfully convinces Buss to allow the star witnesses to be sat on the stand and cross examined, will the subpoenas have to be re-issued if J. Buss agrees with CAZ’s arguments why they need to be put on the stand?
And what if the previous subpoenas have lapsed and the RIO mob's man/men is/are overseas for the next month or so? Can he/they be subpoenaed while over-seas?
Bearing in mind that CAZ has not yet obtained a date of hearing with Justice Buss to consider CAZ’s arguments that the people of interest should be put on the stand?
Only 40 days to go until 19th March don’t forget!
And regards CAZ’s arguments for putting the “people of interest” on stand. I have to agree with CAZ because I expect that written submissions are nothing as potent as a witness on stand being (I expect) cross examined. In a written submission you say what you want said. In cross-examination you are asked what you don’t want asked and you must not lie. Actually, the truth is, you (we) try our best to say what we want to say if we expect we will not be caught lying. Because in life and share trading, you CAN DO ANYTHING so long as you don’t get caught.
So CAZ can get to ask questions I expect might never be asked via written only submissions. And the beauty of a witness in the hot seat is the judge can see the reaction, and watch the sweat rolling down the sideburns in anticipation. Ah it will be a grand sight, if it happens.
PS: I sold my CAZ shares today. I intend buying some back if and when the price is re-right.
