ForecastsIn November 2022, coal bull Bell Potter upgraded its coal price assumptions.It has Newcastle thermal coal (free on board) at $US275 a tonne in 2023 (upgraded 26 per cent at the time), $US200 a tonne in 2024 and $US125 a tonne in 2025. Queensland hard coking coal is at $US250 a tonne in 2023, $US225 a tonne in 2024 and $US200 a tonne in 2025.
