Please note I do not know legal jargon, and the following is my very basic view of one section.
The issue here over the Net Calorific Value (NCV) differences that, if proven guilty, led to an increase in the invoice value of about $1.15 million over 12 shipments is the consequence, if we lose the case, to Terracom and its brand.
- Financial Penalties (general punishment fine to deter it from happening again)
- Compensation (compensate affected parties for financial loss)
- Reputational Damage (loss of investors, customers, and business partners)
- Management Consequences (bans)
- Market Impact/Stock Price (decrease/negative view of the company and its position)
- Legal Costs (nothing in the bank/more money leaving the company for no company position gain)
Sadly, if we lost, it would continue the 'negative' news coming from the company. I, for one, hope we win, and it goes into the 'positive' news.
