Yes, i think in the final wash up first person shooting games are going to feature prominently in this event... I remember the first time i played "Goldeneye" on the N64 as a late teenager - and how struck i was at the violence and the fact that I was perpetrating it (i loved and still love James Bond games - but compared to a lot of the fare on offer these days they are tame - and works of fiction). Kids born in the 90's in many cases would have played much more violent and graphic games (and with no frame of reference - real death vs game). The COD games i find particularly abhorrent (and i'm not a wowser) getting your kicks recreating real conflicts with real deaths and casualties - well there is something seriously wrong with that.
