Maybe hold off for a while. I had good advice to go into SDL at 0.14, and yesterday did a partial withdrawal to take profits on advice from the same source.
Nothing specific mentioned re merger falling apart, just the market would be unlikely to like the news between now and Jan/Feb 08. Still long term bullish, just short term realistic.
