ABC Online; The Federal Justice Minister says he feared for his family after being caught up in a car-jacking in Perth.
Senator Ellison was in his car heading for his office with his two young twins in the rear when he turned into a street and was confronted by a stolen vehicle travelling at high speed towards him.
The vehicle had earlier been hijacked, the latest in a series of car-jackings in Perth.
The stolen vehicle missed Senator Ellison's car and was later found abandoned in the grounds of a private school, about five kilometres away.
Senator Ellison says it could have been worse.
"I'm firmly of the view that if I'd been 30 seconds ahead of myself then the chances of a head on collision with the car that was being pursued would've been highly likely and certainly would've been a very seroius accident," he said.
