    Minerals explorer Territory Resources Ltd has lifted its stake in Matilda Minerals Ltd.

    Territory upped its interest in the mineral sands miner to 13.66 per cent, from 8.60 per cent, according to a substantial shareholder notice filed with the stock exchange.

    Territory built its initial stake in Matilda in October.

    Territory earlier this year failed in its bid to acquire Consolidated Minerals Ltd.

    Matilda shares ended on Tuesday at 46 cents while closed at $1.27.
