It's very simple, it's because the Kooky Greens, and their supporters in parts of the Labor Party, will stymie any such legislation in the Senate. And, because ALL political parties have been too timid (and probably with very little historical knowledge),in confronting the real threat from militant Islam. And, as revealed in a recent TV interview with Tony Burke, on the ABC, that, in some electorates, they represent a significant voting block.

We have certainly made a rod for our own backs, for our children, and probably for our childrens' children.
