The illegal immigration/Clayton's apartheid aspect is useful. All of that cheap labour with crap conditions. And if they complain they get whisked out of the country, conveniently leaving no-one to testify against the filth that employed them.
Anyway, I think that some pollies like cheap Asian prostitutes far too much to want to change things.
