Alacrity, I have to correct you there - you forgot to mention paying off the $11M of debt and obtaining the 3D seismic over the GC acreage that was directly responsible for identifying SOA and the other conventional traps within that acreage.
If I recall, HAL paid for their share of Defender in return for some GC acreage also at the equivalent price paid by CHK - $3275/acre.
