well, Sri Lanka just collapsed because government ran up big debts and gave tax cuts.

Oz has given tax cuts, and, it's run up big debts. Now - if what you say is true - then, there'll be more big debts to fund transmission and generation

already - Oz has almost the highest private debt on the planet and the gov. debt is at record levels.

so - if Aussies 'will not stand for power shortages' ------------- hmmnmm - then, they may well get more than they bargain for

They are just a disparate collection of people who do not form anything
They will just roll over and say please when the costs make turning on a switch and act of suicide
