    Yes you are correct if you are on those tax brackets. And building write offs, however i did not mention any maintenance costs, the fact that agents charge 2 weeks rental per year , as well as assuming full rental.

    So the figures could be pushd around on both sides of the equation..
    What i was trying to say was...there is no guarantee of price appreciation in the forseable future, and that is the only basis any investor could recoup their losses, plus try to actually make some money..as that is what investing is all about...

    read my post re avalanche of sales...there are suburbs with 2 years supply at the moment ...not a recipe for price appreciation...more like price reduction...
