    Agree, it's an interesting move given their apprehension to cobalt. As a COB and TSLA shareholder, I'm eagerly waiting for Battery Investor day, which Musk just said would be Sept 15.

    Tesla has consistently innovated on the amount of Cobalt in their vehicles (see image). As THE market leader in EVs and Battery Tech, if they can reduce it to zero in the next decade, I think the COB thesis struggles, but if they can't -- COB is going to be a massive play. Low cost, direct production, ethical cobalt from a stable jurisdiction will be in very high demand.
