2009 they thought EV would take off but it didn't because pure green cars that offered no excitement or enjoyment were on offer and any faster electric cars had very poor range. EVs are back now because of one man designing a car that is faster and has better range to remove the two largest negatives holding EVs back which was range and speed. Now the only thing missing is the sound of a sexy v8 but I'll trade that in for something sports car like from Tesla that goes faster than any petrol car and has a decent range.
