Recent additions include South Australia’s Barossa Pavilions, a 75-acre hillside retreat located in the Barossa Valley, and Deep Blue Hotel and Hot Springs in Warrnambool (Victoria) offering luxurious accommodation and coastal views along Victoria’s famous Great Ocean Road”,
Morgan SetteIt said the “Supercharger” and “Destination Charger” locations “are part of the largest electric vehicle infrastructure supply in Australia and Tesla’s continued effort to double the size of charging sites by the end of the year”.
Tesla says Supercharging supplies a quick charge that allows long-distance travel along well-travelled highways around the world. It says the Tesla Supercharger is substantially more powerful than any existing charging technology, providing up to 120 kilowatts of power and 270km of range in 30 minutes.Destination Charging stations use the same unit as the Tesla Wall Connector used in homes and charge at a rate of 40km every hour on 32 amp or up to 81km per hour with 3 phase.“Australia now has a total of 18 Supercharger stations, with another 17 planned for installation,” the company’s statement said.Australian prices for Tesla electric cars range from around $70,000 for the base model 3 up to $300,000. for model X
