Just think about how much the balance of payments will have improved when we no longer need much oil because most people will be driving EV's.
Of course for countries who are big oil producers like USA, Canada, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran, Emirates it will not be good for their economies when no one needs much of their oil anymore. Do you think these countries and oil companies are going to give up their profits without a fight? Of course not. They will use many intermediaries to try and deny man made climate change. Because it is in their wallets best interests.
