I have nothing against electric cars, great in city etc enviroments, at present I drive fairly regularly from central Qld to Brisbane , about an 890klm journey, can do this in my fuel effecient ICE car with one stop at about the 700klm mark to refill, takes between 5-15 minutes, half an hour if we decide to have a coffee etc. I can thenm drive a further 800klm on the filled tank if I wish. When an electric car can do thgis sort of distance and recharging time then it will be practical for anyone living out of the main city areas.
Incidentally Kevo88 , if you live in the north side of brisbane ,at trip to the city can take up to 45-60 minutes at the wrong time of the day (6am-9am) the time most people start work, this is a trip of 28klms, as mudguts pointed out not every city is like Perth.
