I appear to have been a lone voice in the wilderness in my view that the age of electric cars is still a long way off
Electric cars like the GW story is being fueled by industry, government and the media, not by reality or truth
The government want votes and to make themselves look good to the small very vocal greenies
The media want to sell stories --- any story
The industry want to get government grants and make money where it did not exist previously
Finally electric cars have been around long enough now to get a few actual facts on their operation rather than the rose tinted view of the above mentioned group making money
My view has always been from an engineering point of view that until an entirely new battery or power supply is invented electric cars belong in only a few isolated specialist areas and not for the general population
Also the bit about charging stations which must be put into context with the size of Australia
