I agree with you regarding Tesla Struggler - except that if the Model S can do what is advertised it could ba a game changer for EV's. It looks nice, is a full size family sedan and not a tea cup on wheels! And the range seems extraordinary at over 300 miles with the premium battery pack, not to mention 0-60 mph in 5.6 seconds I think. The only thing holding it back is that there is no stock to sell :). Nissan / Renault is of course the biggest backer of EV's - having spent or commited US$4B to the cause. Honda and the Germans are still working on Hydrogen fuel cells - hope they fail for the next 20 years - but 2012 should see a lot of EV's coming from the design boards onto roads - mainly in California and Europe where their governments are heavily subsidising the initial cost - China is uncertain for me - unless anyone here is living there or knows more - are the Chinese subsidising EV's?
