$250/kWh at the pack level!!!
In Deutsche Bank's 9 May 2016 Lithium Report they provided the following graphic and excerpt:
$250/$825 = 30% of the expected 2020 cost in 2017.
Assuming that more product is demanded with the accompanying lower price:
This potentially bodes well for Syrah's spherical plans in Louisiana when you consider Tolga's comments about Tesla: "In the case of storage batteries, this is predominantly natural graphite in the anode material."
Who knows what will happen with Syrah's share price but there can be no doubt that Elon's tweet above is a big deal for the energy storage industry and participants in the lithium-ion battery supply chain.
