Batteries are insured for 8 years on every EV I've looked at in Australia - so I'm not worried about that.

No one was able to get my ICE going when it broke down. RAC had to tow it. That was a four year old Subaru.

It amazes me how all the very wealthy capitalists on HC are so worried that they might get $5-10k less on the second hand market after they've used their car for a decade.

I can honestly say that kind of money isn't going to change my life, but even so, I reckon I'll save that on petrol.
