My wife's car is due for an upgrade. Tesla isn't on the list because they don't really cut it any more in comparison to other offerings this year.

We'll be getting either the Kia EV6 or the Polestar.

We've hired the Polestar a couple of times and really like how it drives.

We rented one when we were travelling with my in-laws to see how long drives would work. For my FIL in particular it was amazing. He has a hearing aid and can't hear people when talking in the car due to engine noise.

We went on a couple of long drives and he was chatting away happily. Mentioned how he's been feeling isolated when driving in his ICE recently because of his hearing.

EVs fixed that for him.

Lots of benefits to EVs. Don't knock them till you've tried one.
